Mikuni RS 34 questions
« on: December 28, 2013, 01:27:24 pm »
Finally getting around to familiarizing myself with my new Mikuni RS 34's and I have a few questions.  First question is, what are these and where do they go?

Next question is, shouldn't there be caps or vent lines on these ports?

I think(which is a stretch) that MAYBE those cylindrical parts are part of the accelerator system? As in,they go in the float bowl?
Maybe?

Thanks for the replies.  Those cylinders were in the box with the carbs but not inside the carbs.  There is no mention of them on the exploded view in the book that came with them.  I disassembled one of the carbs and there is a spot where I can see that they might go but I cannot figure out what the purpose of them could possibly be.  There has to be someone out there that has these exact carbs and knows what they are for, right?

Those four pieces are for another bike application. Mikuni supplies odds and ends with the larger carbs for the old GSXR's Kawasaki's etc. No need for anything other than carbs for the CB750. ;)
