It is from a 88-92 GSXR 750/1100, some GSXR 600's used the same wheel. The later (newer) models have a larger axle, making it harder to mount them.

I've done some conversions with the newer wheels that take the bigger axle. Since i have to get new spacers made in most cases, i just get them sized to fit the inside diameter of the wheel bearing and the inside diameter of the Honda axle. I'd suggest using steel spacers for street riding.

Buchanan also sells 17" spoked rim bands and spokes in a 5.5 inche width in both chrome and aluminum. They are expensive compared to TurboD's suggestion.

Yes, going to use my Pena chassis. Clubfoots both came with bars, but more sensible to let Gary make them, may still have some. I'll post some more pics in an hour or so of chassis(frame) so far, Bill

Bill, What is the wheelbase on the Pena chassis? Keith

72 inches . Working on some other wheel combinations. Could have got wheels and front end in Bradenton for 325.00! Alas, funds were short, that's life. I'll get something right as Jon and Frank said. Might as well get it rt first time if possible.Bill

Hey Billy, post some pics of the stealth fiberglass gas tanks. ;)

You talking about the black tank with the red/orange/yellow stripe?  ??? If so, you're looking at a NOS Tracy body.
Nope, I'm talking about the 'glass tanks that look just like a stocker, but only hold a quart or two of fuel. Very light. ;D

Purple anodized rim would be classic Pena..

Frank back in '95 the was a guy Wild Bill in Kelowna area who had a Pena bike, I saw it when we ran the funnycar there. Is it still around?
It looked like it came strait out of Hot Bike magazine.  8)

From a European point of view, that list contains many different wheels.

I am not a complete expert on these, I am still learning some of the Suzuki fitments myself.

Here in the states, the 88 -92 750 and 1100 use the same wheel. I have seen a couple different size brake rotors used within these years and models. They all had a 20mm axle like the old Hondas. Some of the 600's also used the same wheel and axle size, I can not say on the years for those.

It. Was Neal Lachelt, I think, he has a dragster now...hung around with turbo Gordon Smith, both of them were in Seattle when we met you.
If it's the one I'm not  thinking, pretty sure he got it from Terry? Stonecipher. He might have had that INSTABOX bike.

Why steel spacers over aluminum ones for the street ??   ???

I have built aluminum axle spacers for street for decades, even the thin adaptor type bt they were on the front.

Just my preference. Most street bikes i've ever owned came with steel spacers- not aluminum. Might be something to that concept??

Tintop, not sure about the later cars but the early Pantera's came with 351 Cleveland's. My uncle used to have one that he would thrash mercilessly.. ;) ;)

So I was only 1/2 right it was a Ford ::), but I stand corrected in that it was a Cleveland.

Definitely a 351 Cleveland. Great engines for 4 speed cars. They loved high rpms due to the head design. Even the 2 barrrel heads when set up right made power.
