It's a K2, There's still a possibility I can find the title owner or family, no one ever signed it the PO's were partners on it and didn't bother becasue they were racing it.
Sadly, the raked one is a late K0, I even have the engine but it spent some time outdoors before I got it, locked up tight. It was just ready to drop a valve too, an aluminum retainer was almost worn through. A couple years ago I sold a low number diecast frame for $100, it was a rust bucket someone here needed it for parts.

AW jeez, I dropped the 16" rim and the slick off at my favorite bike shop. When I came back later it was 1/2 way mounted, all twisted up and laying outside the door. It seems the bead didn't seat, one side was way out and one side way in and the the guy added air trying to make it seat. The tube blew and it dismounted that side of the tire. No one got hurt but then they were all blaming the rim and tire. And scared of it LOL.
I just paid for the new tube, took it home and finished it myself. All it needed was a little prying and a little lube, 15 lbs of air and it popped right on. God knows how much air he had in it.
Too bad, I like them and he's the only 750 guy around here. built my sandcast out of the crate new.

I would too Larry, but I doubt if the other guy would go for it............ ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Someone commented on the 16" slick maybe looking too short near the fender. Well, that's not a problem. It's so tall the struts need to be made longer and it doesn't fit in the fender at all. The pictures came out lousy. I'll try tomorrow.

Time for a BUMP!  The title finally got worked out, it was so old the state couldn't run it through the computers. I'm using the original short swingarm on the raked frame. The slick is on and the struts are lengthened for the slick.
With the added rake it won't hurt to raise the rear back up a little, I'd trade this slick and Harley rim for a 17" Honda rim and a round shinko drag tire. Since that's not happening I'll go old school and the 5" M&H.
I'd like the look to be mostly period correct and like people remember it.
I started cleaning the carbs again, woo what a mess.  I'll get some current pictures, It will be mostly black when done, I'd like to black out the F2 header too.

It's still on the side burner right now but I did find a cb750 hub with a 17" goldwing rim on it. I'm thin king I'll lose the 16X5" flat bottom slick and put on a 17" shinko round slick. It will look more like the original tire and wheel .
As a bonus the ad says the 4 hole hub and aluminum rim are sandcast. woohoo!

The 17" Goldwing wheel on a 750 hub arrived and it's got a sweet 130 Shinko on it already, it feels soft. The date I hope is the middle of last year, it says 6/14. I hope that's the 6th week or month of 2014 not 2006 14th week

There's some goo on the spokes, I hope it's degreaser and not corrosion.

Yep, it is aluminum, I bid on about 10 items on ebay and was gone all day and when they expired. The rim assembly was all I got. I did clean a few spokes tonight, they are steel and have some kind of degreaser or something dried all over them. I soaked them with WD40 and cleaned a few, they clean up nice. I'm trying to not polish off the zinc plating and I'm about to learn what it takes to shine up a goldwing rim.

I stumbled on this thread, It's been parked while I did other projects, in the meantime I got a fibermold gas tank like it had before and a cb750A aluminum rear wheel with a fresh shinko 17" tire. I still don't have the kick start tightness problem fixed. I've done 3 race cars since starting this project. Time flies.

No, but I promised myself I'd ride it this year, Hopefully with the big motor. I bought a pair of cb400F's and need to sell or trade them. The race car's almost ready to go back in the trailer. We have a 15 race super comp schedule this summer plus super Chevy and the three car shows/cruises I put on.

I did procure a V&H header for it. Not sure if that got posted anywhere.  I had it on a cb900c and the buyer didn't want to pay the asking price so I kept the header and put the cut off straight pipes back on it.
It's sad so many of the "original" drag bike parts were sold off of it and lost forever.  If I can find a proper K0 engine for my 70 bike, I'd drop that 836 with the yoshi repop pipe in the drag bike frame right now.

Our dragster is broken, fortunately the points race today was cancelled due to cold and wind. I'm thinking if it warms up in time tomorrow of riding the  K0 836 bike with the drag bike seat to the track and making a pass or two.  Any advise on launching?

Update, I didn't go today but plan to park it in the trailer and take it to the races in a couple weeks. That way if I break it I won't need a ride home.

I had carb issues on the 836 and still haven't made it down the track. I Caswell lined the fibermold tank for the drag bike today. Now that I've sold 4 bikes I can get down to business on the 750's I'm keeping.   I'm rolling the drag motor stand back out so I can get the backcut trans installed and find the tight spot.

I got the sealer in it so it's safe for modern fuels. I trimmed the rubber tank mounts so it will fit the frame studs.

It's going together, hopefully to start on the stand.

Some of the drag bike parts bolted to the 836 bike.

I know,  that's one crazy looking muffler! Hondaman loves it, says it will work awesome in the higher rpm ranges. The header looks like a newer yoshi and the muffler looks like a single Dunstall. No idea what the setup was sold as. I paid $40 bucks for it.

Anyway, I got the big motor on the stand and it should hold oil, I'm looking through the carbs for the best set to start it up on. There's a set of intake rubbers and airbox adapters are soaking in the softener.  I still need to set timing on the mag, I'm going to make a guess and turn it to just before TDC on #1 and see if the rotor is pointing at any particular pole on the cap.
