I blended the turbo drag bike into this thread, tonight I rolled out the engine that has the future 997cc crankcase and the mocked up turbo on it. I made a strut to hold up the back of the turbo, that way it doesn't hang off of the header and the carb rubbers.
I'm subscribing to David Freiberger's motto, don't get it right, just get it running. In light of that I'm putting a stock K5 motor with an F2 cam into the raked "other Egli" frame and hanging the turbo onto it. The rocker cover can come off in the frame so I can work on it later.
The hard part will be getting the rolling frame off of the shelf in the shop.
