Help! I can't remove the cam chain sprocket
« on: February 16, 2014, 05:18:48 PM »
Hi folks, I'm trying to remove the head on 400, as of now I'm stuck trying to remove the cam chain sprocket, every time I try to undo one of the bolts the whole cam turns, so that's my dilemma, is there a trick to tacking those bolts out and not have the whole thing spin around?

Thanks!

You could engage 5th or 6th gear and lock the rear brake on.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

Yup. If you're by yourself, thread up the rear brake adjuster until it locks the rear wheel, and use a high gear as mentioned.

Yes,just lock the drive sprocket with some wood or something.
