As Promised. Some pics.
Finally got the front rim torn down. So I will send this off to powder coat:

This is the number 2 carb.
Here is Number 1 carb after soda blasting:

And that's after dipping it in a cocktail and using compressed air to dry.

The Screw driver is pointing to it. It is accessible from the outside after the float bowl is on. This is the one I bottomed out then did 1.5 turns out. I believe this is the one everyone is talking about. I did refer to me FSM manual I downloaded. But that manual refers to a completely different set of carbs.
And this is the float bowl after a round of buffing. I then put a thin coat of clear on it just to protect from Corrosion:

So question still stands on:
the external adjustment screw?
Also, How to adjust float bowl hight? I have a tool in the mail for this.
Jet size for my set up as described above?
What is the lower needle screw that goes in the float bowl do?
