Suitable 550 Dual Disc Master Cylinder?
«

Saw this 22mm Master Cylinder over at Mikes XS and was curious if it would be adequate for a 550 dual disc conversion? I'd be using braided lines and stock calipers.

Anyone already using this on their bike?
I saw a chart on a previous post that talked about mm ratios that provide certain feels, but wasn't too clear on how to calculate correctly.

i use a stock master cylinder with dual discs that both have stock calipers.
all i know is it works well (has certainly more grip than just 1 disc, and feels ok) but i haven't tried different cylinder sizes to compare.

If you visit Randakk's site he has a post in the technical blog section about MC sizes for GL1000's that you might find useful.

A 14mm master cylinder will be adequate.
I am running a 14mm on my 750 with dual discs.
