I've been having trouble finding All Balls tapered bearing kits for the 750 where both the top and bottom bearings are tapered, as shown in Hondaman's book. Been looking on ebay and the only kit from All Balls that fits a K2 is

This one

and the ones that have both top and bottom ones tapered aren't from All Balls like

This one

So the question is, has anyone found a kit from All Balls with both bearings tapered? If so, where can I grab one of those from?

Yuhaaahhhh....The inner face of the races (bearings too) are tapered. The outer face of the races (top, bottom, sides) are flat. Find your favorite tapered wheel bearing (automotive, trailer, truck) and place the tapered bearing into it's outer race and all of the outer faces are flat, yet the bearings are still tapered.  ???

How's that work?  ???

(Hint: The outer faces must be flat to fit the steering neck and steering stem...)  :o

 ;) ;D

They don't look tapered when assembled, but they are.

Uhm uh the reason the 1 bearing looks tapered and the other not in the all balls ebay ad is because the one bearing is setting in it's outer race covered by the grease seal that comes with the kit. The bearing that you can actually see is tapered would look the same once you set it in it's outer race. :)

I agree the picture looks confusing. But rest assured the bearing itself is tapered. They are two different sizes but they are conceptually identical.
