I have to agree with the other guys in this thread john, this is one hell of an inspiring thread and i cant believe you sold her after all that hard work.................
Condolences on your mates, never an easy time.
You have created one of the best build threads in this place, it is an inspiration to all of us showing us that you dont need to throw mega bucks into your bike to get it looking good and fun to ride.
Congrats mate you are really a talented man, just a shame we wont get to see you build your own tank...

One thing John, if you still haunt these threads, exactly what is a "reactorstrip" I never quite understood that one part, but also thank you very much for posting your thread in English.
You can stop pretending that you are Dutch now too,

we know you have to be a Kiwi to be that clever and number 8 fencing wire inventive.
That man deserves a DB (BEER John....that's New Zealand speak for beer)

I know it as a torque arm. Keeps the rear drum (or disc) from moving (at least a lot) when the brakes are applied.

yust by rereading my own topic I'm getting more and more getting started to do works this winter to get my CB750 out for next summer, but my new-old hobby (that's my car) needs also a lot of work so i will spend a little on to my car, and a little on my bike, they are used to stand both in my garage (it's small but it will work

)

I'll keep you all posted

the bmw you all see is an 316i (1989) e30 with almost 240.000 miles and is currently used as daily drive

it's fun

here i am busy with getting the old batteryplace out (rusted )

butt they need a lot of repair usually and more for the interested i can show some pictures of what I've done with the car, but this is cbfourforum

if you got a link to an e30 forum I'll post there my BMW e30 project

next month i will clean up my workspace

o i get a bit of more room for the project with mounting this :

only thing I'm missing and still searching for is the headunit

Post it in the open forum, that's what it's for. We are all gear heads to one degree or another, and after this thread I have to believe an e30 thread from you post will be just as inspiring.

just believe in the cb and it will all come together, noting wrong with re-using good old parts

it's a lot cheaper
