for me the fun is to get the bike riding again at a so low as possible cost, and than riding it as long as possible, until the engine is worn out (but it's a honda cb four, so a lot of milage can be done before that happens, and than i'm in love with the bike and she gets a new bore with fresh pistons and all)

Both look to be great recovery projects. I have the same long road ahead of me with project K4 but i will get there over this winter once i get my manual.

Excellent topic - I love to see the before and after for all these projects.

Good luck with this JohnK6 - You are already well on the way. It's refreshing to see what you are doing to just get a bike back on the road. Anyone who takes a snotty old CB750 and saves it from the scrap heap is OK in my book - and that;s probably a whole lot of forum members ;) Keep up the good work!

I started my Dunstall project with a bit of an old wreck - not is as bad a state as yours but thought I would share the pics anyway.

JohnK, you seem to have gone out of your way to find the biggest disaster on two wheels possible.  :D I like your approach to the problem - first for even taking it on and then, just to make things interesting, doing the work by spending as little as possible.
Seeing someone like you turn a wreck like that round to a functioning machine is really inspiring. Good luck and look forward to hearing about progress.
