Candy Bacchus Olive 750 K2
« on: January 07, 2014, 06:07:02 AM »
Guys, I’m looking for photos that show an original or repainted Japanese (JDM) market 750 K2 in candy bacchus olive custom. At this point, I’m just assuming it should have the K2 gold/black/white gas tank stripe as pictured below. I need to be 100% sure of the correct stripe type/colors before an expensive painting mistake is made. Thanks

The JDM K2 and USA K3 share the same (LY) color code. LY = candy bacchus olive custom

K2 and K3 part number comparison:

JDM 750 K2:
17500-341-670LY – fuel tank
83600-300-030LY – left side cover
83700-341-701LY – right side cover

USA 750 K3:
17500-341-700LY – fuel tank
83600-341-701LY – left side cover
83700-341-701LY – right side cover

Yamiya does not offer K2 candy bacchus olive color at this time, maybe one day they will.

I think the candy baccus olive was a hard paint to get right, that is probably why they have not done much repros of that paint scheme.
It is common knowledge that this is the fastest color they made.

When riding mine around I have had several Folks call mine the "Army" bike which I think may have been a moniker for them back in the day. Not sure if they were ever the most popular color then, but they were the fastest   :D

Eric, it never crossed my mind until the subject came up, but now I’m very interested to see what it actually looks like. I think the JDM K2 stripe scheme is different than the USA K3 stripe scheme. Who knows, it could be a future paint job in a hard-to-find factory color just to be different?

Thanks Flybox. It’s not the candy bacchus olive paint that has me by the short hairs, but the correct JDM K2 tank stripe style that was used from the factory. I don’t think the Honda used the K3 and up fat stripe scheme on their candy bacchus olive JDM K2, but the jury is still out on that. The different fuel tank part numbers suggest that the JDM/USA fuel tank stripes are different which is why I’m seeking (JDM) pics to confirm one way or the other.

The K1 brochure shows a green 750, don't know whether it is of any use to you not being a K2...
