Just one other thing to have a look at before you button it up Rob.
Under the shifter cover, there's a small rubber plug that terminates the gallery.

We had a discussion here on the board awhile ago about this.
From memory, some of the early cases were left closed at the factory whereas the later ones were sealed with a rubber plug when the gallery was bored right through.
I don't think that there is a part # for it.

In the past, I've used a brake shoe rivet with some sealer and then the shifter cover and gasket sits across the top of it.

If the cases have ever been hot or cold tanked, that's generally when these plugs swell up like jelly and fall out which is a bit of a trap.

If I was you
I'd be worried about me.

I reckon you just saved my bacon Mick, thanks heaps mate. No I don't have that rubber plug either. Maybe it was lost at the same time as the other one.

I was able to get the oil path plug off of Puds and he is checking if he has one of these other plugs as well.

Went and got a M20x1.5 bolt from NT Fasteners to undo the rotor and it didn't fit. Ended up discovering that something had previously stuff the threads in the rotor. Bought a intermediate tap today and re threaded the rotor. Dropped out a piece of cake. Changed the seal that I missed and back on in a heart beat.

The Honda manual says 79 ft-lbs for the torque on the rotor bolt is that to much. I read another post that said 35 so I am a bit unsure.

That'd be 35Kn = 79ftlbs mate.

Engines back in the bike. Ended up getting the two missing oil path plugs and had to do a big clean up on the wiring under the covers including installing all new connections. Thanks for everyone's help so far.
