Topic: Cleaning black ceramic exhaust?

pulled the exhaust off, little rust spots and a huge scrape because the PO lowered the bike and decided to let the exhaust hang so it bottoms out if i hit anything resembling a bump. any suggestions on how to clean the rust spots off without destroying the coating?

Mine is a titanium gray which is supposedly the toughest finish so can't promise it will not damage yours. I was told to use 0000 steel wool & varsol and it works. I have had burnt on oil but no rust. Try a small area first.
