I haven't visited the shops yet. They are growing their own and quality varies from decent to 1 hit from what I hear. There are some amazing grows going. Hundreds of thousands $$ in energy costs per month at some. Serious #$%*. Over $1,000,000 collected in taxes in January and that is small compared to speculation.

now there saying there projecting 40 million over what they estimated. So now we get to vote give the extra over 67 million back to the people or we should let the state keep it.

I heard on the radio that the government had collected 4 million in tax since weed was legalised in CO, so I'm guessing that other impoverished states are looking on with envy...........

STATE tax reported $2,100,000 in January on recreational not medicinal.

That computes to $14,000,000 sales in ONE month.

With the extreme slashes they have done over the years to taxes and not voted new taxes in to fund things there it will be welcome income to the CO coffers.

And Washington too. We don't have an income tax and with online sales these days we always fall short on sales tax for education and transpo projects. Of course the state is planning on a big sales tax on pot but after you smoke a bowl or two, who cares?

I can't help but s when I think about "Medicinal Marijuana", sure, there are folks out there who really need weed (terminal cancer patients etc) but in most of the shows that I've seen on the subject, people are getting medical weed cards for the pissiest reasons. Does medical weed cost less than recreational weed? Cheers, Terry.

Heh "I got a hang I need a green card!" I've heard that one believe it or not. Ironically in our state, some of the poeple against complete legalization were the medical marijuana people. Go figure, they got theirs, "F" everyone else. Weed will cost about the same but the Med Mar people just won't have a corner on the market. And I say tax the crap out it, it won't keep people from buying it. Better to tax my weed than my paycheck

It is about half as cheap for medical. If you grow your own is is even cheaper.
