CB350 Honda RSC pistons
« on: December 09, 2013, 09:39:38 AM »
Howdy yall...just thought you guys might like to see a couple pictures of some original RSC pistons made for a CB350,i used to have several of these but over the last 20 yrs or so they we used till i got down to just these last two, kinda cool when you look at em,how much they resemble modern day pistons as far a shape goes, theyre cast pistons, with 2 ring lands...the rings are green(why im not sure, some sort of coating perhaps?...anyway,here is a couple pictures.

Most interesting. Are they CB350 four or CB350 twin?

That gudgeon pin hole looks pretty large too.

Got any more RSC parts? I've a set of 400f RSC forks with interesting dampers somewhere. Also a set of RSC rods for a 750, but I can't show a pic of them without stripping the motor.  They are nice and polished though, and look nothing like Carrillos etc.

THese are for the CB350 twin..sorry bout that....this is it tho,i have a pack of rings that goes with these is all...piston pin size is the same as a stocker, displacement came to somewhere right at 350cc,not certain of the exact number...i was feeding them to a friends bikes for years, really wakes one of those old 350's right up!

NICE Pistons joesmotos ! 8)
I'm looking for a pair of 66-67.5mm street(no more than 10.5:1 comp.ratio) pistons for my CB350 twin;I'm hoping to swap/adapt a pair of pistons from another of the Big Four Japanese manufacturers and just use the O.E. std. pistons from a(?)GPz/KZ750 or some other engine that'll be easy to swap. What's the bore size & compression ratio on that pair of RSC's ??

Just saw this...i dont have a micrometer in front of me here so i cant give you the exact size...i do know that those KZ750 pistons you are referring to will work because we did it one time,im pretty sure it just took a couple of extra base gaskets to raise the cylinder up to get the deck height close..wasnt a real technical thing..been a long time since we did that but it wasnt that hard as i recall..didnt cut the valve pockets on the pistons or anything but he did run a stock cam..

Theres a ton of room in there as far as piston to valve clearance goes, you can look in the spark plug hole as you rotate the engine and see that clearly for yourself one the engine is assembled..
