Thanks, Jared. The motor is nearly identical in spec to Doctor D's 750SS. The main difference is that I will be running a MGP 4-1 instead of Dave's AWESOME 4-4 Megaphones. Dave's bike is on the lighter side (he shaved significant weight from stock), but mine will have also have a lighter modern front end, wheels, gas tank, seat, oil tank -- so I should be shedding some additional weight. They say every 6 lbs you save is equivalent to an extra hp, but along with power, you also get a more nimble platform, and lighter wheels should create less gyroscopic effect and ease turning.
