Next project 750K6 engine head
« on: December 19, 2013, 11:20:00 AM »
So, I'm looking for a winter project.
I'm going to buy a spare head and get it rebuilt.
First step:
Buying one, but I can't seem to find complete information regarding the head casting numbers and comparability.
My bike its a K6 running on stock head.
Any info will be much appreciated

You having a k6 you need the head that accepts the extra dowel pins and long rubbers. Earlier heads used only two dowel pins.

When looking at the head it is pretty easy to identify because there will be multiple extra holes machined to accept the dowels and "long" seals. An earlier head simply won't have the extra recesses around the studs. People sometimes call them later model heads, everybody terms it different.
