Nice find, should print up that Weber stuff.
The con rod on right, is it MTC or Superrod?

I was just looking at that magazine today from my dads collection going back to the 60's  I had to look again because the article is about RC Engineering but just mentions it as a forged alloy rod, definitely not a Golden Rod.

they also mention that they used to weld the beams up on the stock rods so they were solid!says they were very heavy but indestructible!they would use other peoples stuff if it was considered the best at the time so rods could be mtc.could get an exhaust ard and worked head for 300 back then or so it says in mag!bill

The Weber stuff looks like the standard descriptions found in Weber books.  Would be interesting if they gave some specific application jetting though.

brian they are very vague about jetting etc, just that they thinkthe f7 tube is most suited to motorcycle use they don't say why but that was 1974.bill

I'm currently using an F11 which gives some top end richening, leaner off idle, and initial accel.  The F7 would give basically the reverse which would be more suited to a street motor.  That would be my take on it.  Interesting.

I bet that was pulled from the big stack of mags in the closet hey BPellerine ;) My stack is mostly The Horse :)

IMO that time produced some of the most impressive engines both motorcycle and automotive. The bike engines were more interesting of course, but a lot of cool techniques and technology came around then.
