Ok so here is some info, I stripped the bike completely down and had the frame, swing arm and some other bits powder coated black, I did the tank, side covers and cafe bump in a 70's-ish paint scheme that I felt would really stick out.
I took the top end of the motor apart inspected my cylinders (which still had cross-hatching!!) and replaced all the top end gaskets and seals take (I'll pics of that soon) and am waiting for my Webcam 41 grind cam to come in so I can begin the engine reassembly and then lay it CAREFULLY back in the frame.
