Thanks fellas!

Dr Noisewater - yeah I like my toys :-D. I sold the spitfire this summer but have a 66 mustang with a 347 that's my project car. Working on a CL350 street tracker and have about 10 other bikes in the build queue. The cold has forced me from the garage for now though

Chaser60 -- i didn't build the cowl. I ordered it from Airtech-Streamlining:

http://www.airtech-streamlining.com/vintage/vintageseats_round.htm

Its the CB75022. I didn't order a back for it because i wanted the taillight tucked up in there and I made the bike so that I could put the original seal back on if i wanted. I also made my own pan. I have the full build thread in my signature if you need more details on it.
You CAN do great things...with enough beer.

Hey guys, got some Christmas presents a little early so I bundled up and worked on the exhaust a little today. I ended up going with a Cone 12" muffler, but I was curious to see how changing the length of the straight pipe coming off the Mac 4-1 would effect the sound. I thought others might be interested in hearing the differences, so I thought I'd post the videos. Plus the YouTube Capture App makes it far too easy to post video's on YouTube!

I cut off the Mac muffler right where it was welded to the straight pipe. The bike's running rough and everything on it is still in progress, this is just to hear the differences. They're all fairly loud, especially on a snowy Sunday morning like today, but I think I like the short one the best.

First is with a 10" straight piece added in front of the muffler.

5" straight piece.

Idle and tuning are all wonky, but the short cone, no mid pipe, sounds the best compared to the other two.

Last one gets the vote from me, too.

My vid sounds like #$%*e, but that is closest to what mine sounds like too.
