My 78K so far
« on: December 25, 2013, 08:39:00 PM »
I had hoped to get more done this year, but I always hope to get more done...

I started off last December with this...
This pic was taken August 2012 actually
And here is where I'm at now...
The next bit is to figure how much longer the swingarm needs to be extended.

I'm not short. At least I don't think I am but I find the bike a little too tall for me. I want to keep the ride hight so instead of lowering at the suspension I just lowered the tubes at the seat. I'll need to extend the swing are just a bit since my butt is just about where the fender was.

I'm not too sure what category this bike will end up in. I know I can't ride cafe style because the position is too hard on my neck. Same reason I am not an auto mechanic anymore. It'll probably be more of a cruiser than anything else.

Here are some pictures of the tank/s. I had some irredeemably dented and rusty tanks to work with.

The outside panels are 78K and I think the middle is 76K. When I put these together I just used MIG. The welds are a bit brittle and there are some leaks, so I won't be using this one. I have more tanks to work and plenty of time and ideas...
