A build party? Sometimes extra hands make the work lighter, unless it is on a roadcrew where 3-4 are standing watching the one guy work.

I always thought a build party would be a fun thing. Rent a big space and have multiple builds going and  equipment to do nearly everything with everyone pitching in their talents.
It would be located in a place that was convenient to most.

It could be fun and great way to build great friendships as well.

Raf - the "party" in question is living the good life under my roof having me foot the bill for all their exotic motorcycle desires. Little do these boys know, the "good life" under my roof makes a WWII Concentration Camp seem like ClubMed and Josef Mengele look like Mr Rogers... I'll show these guys a thing or two about hosting a party  >:(

Ah yes, Mick, the old Prawns v Shrimp colloquium. You do realize that the impersonators of Aussie culinary culture represent them as "Shrimp" all the while we in the know understand you eat prawns? Guess it goes back to Paul Hogan and his trilogy of Hollywood Outback culture.  ::) Actually, at my place, it would be a pig on a stick inside a smoker being as I'm a Southern Boy. And of course, as Ron will testify, Sweet Tea on the side!

You mean there's another kind of tea besides Sweet Tea?

Long Island Iced Tea contains no tea...

In other parts of the US, they actually drink unsweetened tea! I can't understand it myself, I guess they've never had a perfectly sun-brewed Southern Sweet tea. I like mine with a bit of peach while brewing myself...  :D Washes down the BBQ perfectly-

Preach it brother.  Of course, a little white lightning should always be present as well...but in my case, I choose to supplant that with Richland Rum. :)

Want to know what is outselling soda/pop/coke/pepsi/etc. today?
Tea.
Yep, millions of gallons of the stuff is brewed and bottled by the Pepsi and Coke brands every day to quench the thirst of America.  Even sweet tea is being sold. The ads and articles about how bad soda drinks were hit home to millions of consumers and thry switched to tea..
Finding the elixir that most of us southerners grew up with and still enjoy.
Even an Arnold Palmer is good for a change of pace. I like BlackBerry with my tea and also peach.

Ahhh, the pig on a spit, thats also a common occurrence down here as well, the biggest problem being, you end up pissed {drunk} by the time the pigs cooked, well...you have to do something while its cooking... ;D ;)

Actually, yeah I do.   I have a workshop in the basement and a 3 car garage we could use.  A few spare bedrooms (more if wife is out of the country at the time  ;D ).  Oh yeah...and we have access to Bill Benton Hondaland House of Fun about 35 minutes away.

While the pig is cooking you can be wrenching. Then delay the switch to harder stuff until 6 and eat then have a break.  But, since Cal is rousting you @ 4:50am you will be needing some sleep.

Every couple of months, I visit my buddy Ian Halcott's ranch for a Moto Ranch weekend.  He invites a few people to work on each other's projects, do some improvements to the shop, drink great booze and eat gourmet food cooked by his wife who is a chef.  Plus, there are excellent roads surrounding the ranch and a dirt track on the ranch to test ride and have fun.

BTW, if you organized a bunch of build parties like every few months you could concentrate on a bike and see more progress.
I know guys that get together every week to build RC slope gliders and I know RC clubs that have build parties at a clubmember's house once a month.
