Thanks Evan!

My only confusion is that there is a green wire going to/from the field coil, what is that supposed to be hooked up to if not the green from the regulator.

Green on field coil is its ground. On the 550 all grounds are green. Just connect it to where it ends up on battery -

Happy new years everyone.

So I hooked up the reg as Racetech specified, and I ended up grounding the green coming from the field cool and l am now finally get charge going into the battery, duh on my part! My only concern is that when revving and seeing the measured voltage of the battery it's going into the 16s range. This Anti-Gravity battery is 13v, but they say to not charge it over 15v... Perhaps I need to get the regulator tested?

If the black wire into the Reg is the sense voltage point (probably is), then measure between black and green local to the sense device while the battery is getting 16V.

If the black wire is lying to the reg., it can't do a proper regulate job.  Switches and connections between Battery POS and black wire are common in 30-40 year old devices.  The frame ground path between devices can also lose voltage.

Consider if 2 V are lost between devices.  Reg thinks its at 14V while battery actually is at 16V.
