Tank emblem removal?
« on: September 13, 2008, 10:18:39 AM »
I need to remove the metal tank emblems for my CB500. How do they come off?

I would have put this message in the "tanks and petcocks" section but do not have a "Post New Topic" button there?

Thanx Much!

Are you repainting the tank?  If so, you can be a little more rough on it.  I know there is a thread on this in FAQ as I used it for mine.  I used some dental floss and slide it under the emblem and did both sides a little at a time.  Once it was up a ways I used a flat knife and it came up fine.  I was even able to use the press nuts to put it back on.  Mine was on a CB750KO so I am not sure what set up you have there.  Good luck with it...
