Burned beyond recognition
« on: December 30, 2013, 02:19:24 PM »
Hope all of you are doing well and riding safe. I have not been here in awhile posting and here is the reason. Some ass clown tried to pull a 5 lane uturn in front of me and I lost. Luckily I walked away  went home had a beer and a sandwhich.... day after was a different story though. I will be applying for stuntman certification soon :)  Here are a few pics.

Glad to hear you walked away,  sad to see a bike in flames.  Looks like a steel gas tank.  Did it split when it hit the pavement?

Glad to hear you walked away. I recently had a guy pull out in front of me and I lost. I too walked away without a scratch but my entire bikes front end was toast. Good luck with the rebuild and hopefully you aren't too shaken. Never good to see an bike on fire :(

Thanks, Yeah it sucks but in perspective just glad to be walking upright, I can always build another. No Nothing permanent mainly nerve issues but physical therapy has been helping with that. Still a bit of mental work to deal with.

Glad you're ok.

It looks like your nice custom wheels survived, if you can't rebuild that one it looks like lots could be transplanted to the next one.

Yeah the wheels got quite charred. I will have to blast them and repowdercoat. I will have to negotiate keeping this one though through the insurance.

Man, that sucks!  Part way through my resto I had a major fuel fire.  But I managed to salvage it and have recently got it on the road, if the frame is not bent from the accident then it may well be salvageable... a long road to recovery for it though!  :'(

Bikes do come and go, you can get another one and this one will be better/easier  because of what you learned on the last one.
