Greeting from central Florida,
My name is Larry Romig, I usually go by "Larz", short for "Larzfromarz". Basically I am a garage builder with a small vintage cycle endevour that I call "Kaizen Vintage Moto". Kaizen Vintage Moto, or KVM has the basic mission of trying to help folks enjoy a nostalgic experience through the vintage motorcycle hobby by providing any services that I can to make the experience what you think you'd like it to be. While I love anything that leaks oil, makes noise and smells like gas, from airplanes to boats, antique tractors and Hit & Miss engines, to muscle and exotic cars, I have found that vintage bikes are a sweet little niche for me. It's not my main goal to "Do The Ton" but to place "Tons of Smiles" on the faces of those with whom I'm lucky enough to work with. I'm a preservationist at heart, but there is plenty of room for cafes or classics (or drag bikes
)right along side.
I'm an active participant in several other forums and learning and sharing what expertise I have takes a good bit of my time. It is through those venues that I was able to become acquainted with special folks like one of my inspirations Sam "The Man" Green. I was honored and lucky enough to have spent this past weekend with Bill Benton and Bent On Racing, Sam and Sam Green Racing and some of their good friends and 'crew' like Wilbur, Mike and others. It was a truly enjoyable event and experience. It's no surprise that I am 'gassed' to graduate to Honda SOHC Fours from my usual Honda Benly's and CB's of the 150, 160 and 350 cc twin variety. I look forward to learning and pestering a few of you and hope only to be an asset to the group...someday.
I am grateful for being able to meet with a Honda Hero in Sam and so very thankful for being welcomed by Bill, Wilbur, Sam and the others. This past weekend at the Haltech Finals will always be a treasured memory for me!
