Happy New Year
« on: December 31, 2013, 09:53:22 AM »
We celebrate the fact that the solar space/time warp we fall around has managed to deliver us back to the same point relative to the central mass.

However keep in mind..we are no longer in the same place.

The solar bubble of warped space we fall in has moved 7,915,536,000 km (4,915,548.000 mi)around the galactic space/time warp it is falling around.

The galatic bubble of warped space/time has moved 17,407,872,000 km (10,810,289,000 mi) relative the the cosmic microwave backround as the space/time we all inhabit & warp expands.

The two velocities are not co-linear, and as I don't feel like researching and making a trigonometric analysis, However it can be said that we are between 10 and 24 trillion kilometers from where we were last New Years Day!

....

Enjoy the ride people!  It is an amazing place we live in!

Well cheer up, depending on the underlying principles of the Infinity we exist within, you may have gone thru a position is space time that was exactly the same an infinite number of times.  Or not.

"What the $%^# ??? ??? You having a spell Mark ;D"

I don't believe so, just having a spot-O-fun.   ;D

I find the Universe we exist within a source of wonder, I like to share it with my friends who have taken another path to acceptance of the world as it is presented to them.

The theory of an infinite number of Marks all calculating how fast we are moving thru space time and telling his fellow old Honda fans that they can never pass this way again is not one I find particularly compelling, but it is out there in the literature.   I believe the theory that this particular observable universe is unique and imbedded within a true infinity.  But in that scenario there could be an infinite number of Marks all doing every thing a Mark ever could have done, Including Marsha!   ;) 8)

They say when the universe stops expanding and begins collapsing that time will run backwards, So i guess I might see the Norton Commando I sold in the 70's, so maybe we will meet in the future or is it the past. Maybe time is running backwards we perceive it running forwards. Braking will accelerate and throttle would stop you, I'm putting on good pads so when the time comes I can haul a**.

This is too deep, I'm heading to garage and fiddle with my bikes.

Anyway happy New Year everyone.
thanks, Mark

From the analysis of distant type 1a Supernova it appears that the universe will not collapse, that the expansion of space/time is accelerating and will go on forever.  Eventually all nuclear energy (Hydrogen) will run out & the Universe will become dark.

The primary particle physics theory is that the structure of the universe contains Dark Energy which is driving this accelerating expansion.

The String Theorists are attempting to formulate a reason for the expansion  via Brane (short for Membrane) Theory.  String theory suffers from not having any significant experimental support,  so Particle Physics tend to discount it.

There are apparently aspects of Higgs Boson Decay which models indicate a release all matter back into energy, But not for a very long time, maybe.  This theory is like string theory, waiting for experimental support.

Wondrous it is.
