When I came here, in 2005, I was accepted in and became a part of a Fantastic Family here. In a way, it doesn't seem like I have been here for 8yrs and yet, in a sense, it seems like I have ALWAYS been here. And I mean all of that, in the Very Best Of Ways. I want to thank you ALL, for making me feel at home and all of the support you all have given me, in my times of need. We are all doing well and STILL trying to get things settled down, so I can get on with motorcycling. Had issues, to include the Central A/C breaking down twice, once before we got here and once, since we've been here. Then, my brother's daughter calling the Sheriff's Dept. on me, saying that my Dad wasn't being fed or taken care of and then she called Adult Protective Services with the same accusations, with alot more detail to it. But both efforts failed, when checked out, as we WERE taking care of and making sure my Dad ate and took his meds. You all were there for me, when I lost my Wife in '09, as well. So, you ALL are More My Family, than the blood, but Not in actuality than my brother. It is a shame, but it is what it is. You all are my Brothers and Sisters and I thank you for that.

I Pray that you ALL have a Very Happy and Prosperous  New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to agree with Bill this place is like family, When things went down hill for me Bill was there for me. We sent emails often checking on one another making sure each was doing ok.. I never would have dreamed after my divorce that I would remarry but here I am 3 years after the divorce and Happily Married and for those who are wondering Bill is my husband.. He is the best thing(of course my babies are first lol) that could have happened to me.. My kids love him and Karla is a delight be around... It's like having another sister around the house!! I think we spend the better part of Christmas the 3 days after it playing monopoly, uno, Nintendo and now my daughter and Karla are playing on her Christmas gift the last couple days I couldn't believe we found one but the Atari system!!! So I'd say there Atari addicts!! lol!! Bill treats me like a queen I often wonder what I did to get such an awesome guy! Starting off 2014 will be busy for my daughter and I.. Wish her team Good luck as she is in cheer competitions... her first one is Jan.12!! She is my little "FLYER GIRL" I am excited as this is her first competition!! HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!!!!!

Hey Bill. Signed up here Nov 2009 right after getting my 1976 CB750. Grew up with these bikes in the 70's but had been away from motorcyles for years. Just wish I hadn't waited so long to get back in it.

Only have good things to say about the site and the people (friends) here. Met a few other members several years ago at the first relay ride and hope to have the chance to meet others in the future ;)

At the 1st ride I met:

Bill Benton
Nikksixx
Wardener
Sam (few others also just can't recall the names)

Hi Bill,

I think your ability to talk honestly about things near and dear to you has had considerable influence on bringing folks closer together in this group.

I joined 6 months after you, and over the blink of an eye the last 7 or so years has been, I have had the good fortune to become good friends with a number of other sohc folks. I am a very lucky guy.

As I read this thread, sitting with my 94 year old dad and my wife around a hot fire following breakfast on a day so cold that the ground looks like it's made of iron,,  I wish you, Michelle, your dad, and all here a wonderful year in 2014.

All best!
Ben

Yeah, this place is The Best! I've seen a few "skirmishes" around here, but not that often though. Really something, how a bunch of guys (and not to forget the Women here either) can REALLY pull together to support and give sound advice to someone in need. Lord knows that I have received alot of that, from here. Like when that situation popped up with my Dad and my (Disowned) brother, the group really pulled together and gave me some Solid support and advice and when my Wife passed away, they were right there again.. I'll ALWAYS remember that and Deeply be appreciated that, for sure. I have more friends here, than you can shake a stick at. LOL! Only met a few, personally though, so far. I've met ilbikes (Gordon), jtb (John), hondalover77 (Married her) and a few others, though I am embarrassed to say that I can't remember their names (Please forgive me for that). Talked to Sam, on the phone (does that count?) I hope to get in on one of those rides, someday.

Hey buddy, I am now actually about 45 miles West of Little Rock, off of hwy10. That means. I am about 1 1/2 hrs from Fort Smith. Just to let you know though, if there IS anything I CAN do, just let me know and I WILL try.

Hey Ben, thank you for the kind words, I just try to do as I was taught by my Parents and have respect and consideration for others. I have been given alot of support and info, on here and I try to give back to others, to help, in any way I can. Some may feel that I lay things out that, that I shouldn't be so open with, but I feel comfortable with you all and I KNOW that keeping things bottled up inside you, is not a good thing to do.  That is Awesome, about your Dad. My Dad will be 89 this coming July. Trying to give him as much time  here, as possible. Hoping that you all have an Awesome New Year as well, Ben. Take care and let's keep in touch.

"Magna Cum WHO"? LOL!      Hey Killer, good to see ya pop in here, buddy.  As you can see, I AM trying to get back in the swing of things and stay in touch. Appreciate the kind words, though I'm not sure I deserve that much. Might take me a bit, to get back up to speed, around here, but I WILL be caught trying.  ;)
