Just received word my carbs will be done soon, So tomorrow My friends and I will move her out of the Basement and inside where I can reinstall everything and get her ready to rumble.  I will have everything set so all I have to do is throw in the carbs and Hit the Starter.  Things should begin moving pretty quickly from here on out. 

Heres just a little teaser, I treated myself throwing on a few things to see how she looks.

What's the posted speed limit in your basement, Tyler? And, are helmets required? I ask because if it's really low, you can likely forego the carbs, push the bike about with a friend and make loud rumbling noises as you carom off the walls and door jambs...

A bit more seriously, do you have a stiffener in your saddle bags to prevent them from curling inwards and catching up with the spokes? I see the shock towers behind them, but I'd look at that carefully and fully. Wind pressure does funny things to flappy bags.

Bike is coming along really well!

The basement was all pictures before the bike with the tires on,  I took it out of the basement with the frame and engine and front end.  Reassembled in a building ( Hall ) next door that my dad owns.  It won't stay there to long though!  I Just have to set points ( still a little confused on that to be honest, and Align the rear tire ) then as soon as the carbs come in we are good to go!  He is doing a few custom touches to them as well!

How does your service manual explain it? the reason I ask is because some manuals have a little different way.

If you are referring to the points, basically line up the marks, and set the gap with the screws for each point.

Well, sorta confused I guess.  Tomorrow ill put on the tank pads, battery and pipes all ready for those carbs! Im so excited to ride her!  But I am kinda liking the no exhaust look, defiantly more cafe then the 4into4.  Makes me want to find a decent 4into1 !!

When I first started adjusting points I Always thought it was strange that the points will fire the cylinders on the instant they 'open'...,huh ? I didn't think that was logical but it's true.  ;)

Pipes and knee pads on.  Really liking the painted exhaust collars, I think they go well with the rest of the painted parts on the bike. Wasn't sure how I would feel about the tank pads, but I really like them.  Basically set now as soon as the carbs come in!

Yep I have them, 2 sets actually,  that seat rip really makes me mad,  A ratchet strap broke when it was in my truck and it fell over!  I'm most likely going to stitch it up!

Wish I had more to update guys, For now i have just been sitting on her, cleaning and thinking of the day my freaking carbs will come in, as there was some sort of delay with shipping them.  Only thing thats bothering me is the oil light is staying on and refuses to go out.  Could this be because the bike sat with no oil for 3 weeks?  Would it go away when I finally start to ride?

Ask and You shall receive.  Came home from work today to find this waiting for me.  I got a new job at a local Boatyard doing work when I'm not in school an its really beating me and my time up, but the money is good!  Ill have these on tomorrow and if i can't they will be on saturday.  Wondering if it would hurt anything to dab some Wd40 or some silicone on them to aid in sliding them back onto the rubber boots??
