Time to introduce myself... w/ pics
« on: September 06, 2006, 12:21:05 PM »
Hey - my name is Jason and I live in Michgian, US.

I just got a 75 CB750F as my first bike. I got it for pretty cheap on eBay and have had fun fixing it and stuff over the past few weeks. There are a few little things that weren't perfect on it - the biggest one being the tank (which had leaks and evidence of being Kreemed several times to no avail - and they didn't clean out the old Kreem before they tried it 3 more times after the first)

ANYWAY - I got a new tank on eBay this past weekend, so when that gets here I'll done as far as looks go, and will just need to patch up some little annoyances. The bike runs SUPER good though (it's a Honda), and after a 300 mile ride this weekend, I rolled it over 10K. :)

Here's a pic of it as it is:

And here's what it'll look like with the new tank (thanks to Photoshop):

I've had tons of bike so far and when I finally rid myself of this permit and get a full endorsement, I plan on riding this to work (~80 miles/day) whenever it's nice out. :)

Welcome Jason,
not a bad ride. 10K miles is LOW! Did the previous owner (PO) keep it stored somewhere inside?
Details are called for here.
peace,
michel

Thanks all. I'm not really sure about it's history... the guy I got it from took it as a trade + some cash for a Kawasaki that he restored. Aside from the crappy tank that was on it, everything else seems pretty nice. It's my first bike and so far I'm loving it. I work 40 miles from home (via long, windy country roads) so I'm looking forward to be able to ride it to work legally and when it's warmer out (next summer). I've ridden it to work a couple times, including this morning, but it's starting to get REALLY cold outside until the sun comes up.

If any of you MI guys are interested in it, keep in touch. I plan on, if my financial stuff goes as well as I hope it does and I'm good about not spending money this winter, getting a Yamaha FZ6 in the spring and selling the CB750. :)
