Seems to me 'masochist' would be appropriate.

I mean, addressing (even reading) the 10,000th post about oil, pods, tires, carburetor cleaning, and charging system abuse, to illiterates that can't fathom the search system, must say something in and of itself.

Alternately, it would seem 'existentialist' might properly apply also.

Noun   1.   existentialist - a philosopher who emphasizes freedom of choice and personal responsibility but who regards human existence in a hostile universe as unexplainable

On the other hand,  'incorrigible' also fits the intended category fairly well, in the context of:

"3. Difficult or impossible to control or manage."

How about incorrigibly, masochistic existentialist? Pretty much covers all bases.  :)
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

Naah, too long.  Many attention spans wouldn't last past the first word or two.  Besides, most wouldn't understand the word existentialist.  If grimy fingers can't page through a shop manual, no reason to expect a dictionary would get used, right?

Incorrigibly, masochistic does seem to fit, though.  :)

Musing, it occurred to me that one definition of "insanity" seems to apply.  As in: "doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting a different outcome."

Perhaps 'insane" should be added to the list for consideration?  Some might say that keeping a 40 year old motorcycle in operating condition is insane, all by itself.

Upon further thought as an alternative,  I submit.  "We don't need no stinking badges". Or, "We don't need no stinking category"  Or, "We don't need no stinking label"

Yeah, I like those.  ;D

Hahaha, that definition popped into my head too, and applied to keeping our bikes on the road is very good.

I'm suspicious of awards ever since the judge "awarded" me a 6 month "Good Behavior Bond" when I decided to fight a minor speeding ticket Tim, if it's that kind of "Award", thanks, but no thanks........ ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"
