Sadly there are so many from that era that will probably be hitting Rock & Roll Heaven soon...Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats Domino, and I hear Little Richard hasn't been doing so well lately.  :'( :'( I've also heard Elvis and Buddy Holly are off their game....

I see my youth slowly dying off around me. They were a great talent and their sound was unique.

I was really taking in the Everly Brothers music, along with the others, from back in those days, and when the middle 60s came along, I started listening more to the old Country Western, as time went on. Yeah , there was still some pretty good ones still, but the times, they were a changin'.  Man, the 50's & 60's Rock & Roll Music, was My Life! Sure is cool to be able to go to You Tube and bring up most any song you want to hear, from back in my time, to include any era of the music. I have been introducing my Wife to the older songs, as I am just a bit older than her and we listened to all of the Everly Brothers last night, to include their "Reunion" Concert.    R.I.P Phil Everly

On the "Righteous Brothers, Bobby Hatfield had passed away, a few years ago, did Bill Medley die also? If so, I hadn't heard. Have to check that out.

Okay, I just looked and Bobby Hatfield of the Righteous Brothers, died in November 2003 and Bill Medley is still around and doing things with his Daughter, including some bookings this year (2014).

lol...seriously though, Kalamazoo gets more than it's fair share of touring musicians due to it's convenient location exactly halfway between Detroit and Chicago
