Well, for January in WI the last 2 days we have been above freezing. At the moment we are at 38 which is pretty warm this time of year. But they are predicting 4 inches of snow tonight. At least the ice has all melted away.

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Man, you guys down under seem to be getting drier and hotter summers down there with plenty of fire I am sure.

Yeah, the weather was cooler right up until now, but it's been hotter, was 47 deg C when we had the "Black saturday" fires back in 2009 mate. I don't think it's really getting hotter, it's just a friggin' hot time of year......... ;D

Terry...how long does this heat usually last? The hottest I have ever seen it here is about 103 in July.

We'll usually get a week or two of really hot weather like now over summer John, and lots of 80(+) degree days this time of the year, and it'll stay warm until around May, then it cools down (not cold like in the US, but down to around 50 over winter (from June to August) we do get a few days colder than that, but not many.

The biggest concern on days like today is fires, and sadly, many of them are deliberately lit. I've got a park behind my place, so I've got the hose ready, just in case. Cheers, Terry. ;D

I forgot to turn the fountain on 24/7 and it froze. I had to paddle to the middle of the pond and unfreeze it with pot of boiling water. The stunts I do :)

26 degrees and a half inch of snow on the ground, WTF!

Over a hundred accidents last night, schools closed and I'm not going to work anytime soon, we just can't deal with this down here.

WANTED: Home for wayward middle-aged man. Needs seasonal relief from cold, rainy crappy weather. Looking for comfy, warm (prefer mild humidity) lodgings where he can build, ride and enjoy his motorcycles. Will do home maintenance, automobile detailing, or cooking/cleaning in exchange.

Has tools and kitchen supplies, will travel. Pictures and references available on request!

God, help me, I hate this weather!

Not only wimps, but idiots.  Before it snowed, it was freezing rain that turned to ice.  You can't drive normally on ice!

Ok guys you want to feel real cold check out Whitehorse, Yukon Territory on the weather network I've been there and it seems to me that it is as far North from Vancouver- Seattle area as Los Angeles is south and is considerably warmer than Wiarton, it's not fair. It's not fair I say.

I'm sitting here with a badly sunburned face (again) after riding to and from the Phillip Island Classic Motorcycle Races with my Nolan Flip Front's "Flip" up and I'm only wishing I was living in your parts today.

My face hurts, I can't shave, hell, I can't even touch my beautiful visage! I wish I was in the Yukon, or Noaksville, or Huston, or anywhere else where the ground is covered in nice cool fluffy snow, so I can shove my big red dial in there and listen to it sizzling and popping as the snow turns to steam around it! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"
