Woke up to 6°, got about 14" of snow. Suck's because I have to depend on neighbors to clear my snow because of recent back surgery.

Come on spring!!!!!!

No MoMo coldest winter was when I had to refuel a Neptune in RCAF Station Winnipeg up on the wing  with two pair of of wool socks long johns sweater uniform
flying suit parka two pair gloves I #$%*ing near froze to death and the guys at station servicing were walking around with their parkas wide open and nothing but t-shirts on yelling at me that it was a nice spring day, we came in from 60-65 degrees F on the coast to about minus 20 F at the Peg.

Years ago a friend homesteaded to Alaska,  I remember a photo he sent chopping wood in a T-shirt with snow as far as you can see.  One of my coldest memories was in the panhandle of Florida when the temp dropped to less than 30 and I was wearing  a denim jacket on a motorcycle in the rain.  It had been over 70 earlier in the day...

Gap is real close to the Mason/Dixon line,  the average highs this time of year are usually in the 40s, which I don't think we've reached more than 7 days this year.

There is no way I could handle the cold you're talking about...Larry

Fcuking hot again today, fcuking hotter tomorrow, but cool on Sunday. Thank God.............. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Actually back in the 70s some were saying that.

Climate change will produce both extremes in hot and cold, we broke 150+ heat related records in Aus this year, I can't remember how many exactly last year but in the first 3 months of last year we set around 120 new records and up until then 2013 was our hottest summer on record, this year smashed it... " seven of the 10 warmest years on record have occurred since 1998 while over the past 15 years the frequency of very hot months has increased five-fold".  Something is happening, there's no denying that...

No kidding!   We've had some real strong arctic fronts this winter.  Good thing is they only last 2-3 days, then we're back to normal.
