The 3.1 inches of snow last night put us at 94.8", over the top of the all time record. It doesn't mean that this is the worst winter here ever, just since we have used a ruler to measure it. Can you imagine how much complaining there would be here if your favorite MC road was buried under 1000 feet of glacial ice for the next 12000 years? :o

You might have thought that everybody would have been tuned in for slippery driving this morning but there were beaucoup vehicles in the ditch along the 275. Maybe the 75f weekend wiped the winter driving skills away.
Plenty cold here tonight too, at least the Tigers had the good sense to postpone their night game.

It's cold (not USA, Canada or Europe cold though) and raining outside today, Good Friday here in Oz so a public holiday. Pity we don't have yesterdays weather today, it was 75 yesterday and perfect bike weather.

The Penrite Broadford Bike Bonanza is on this weekend and looking at the weather forecast I'm gonna have to try to sneak out on Easter Sunday, as it'll probably be pissing down rain on Saturday.

Not sure how I'm gonna achieve that, (Easter Sunday's been a traditional family day for as long as I can remember) but I don't want to miss out on the BBB, Broadford is only an hours ride from my place, my big black 'Wang (my ride of choice on cold wet days) is ready to go, so here's hoping that Saturday's forecast is wrong, or I get a leave pass on Sunday.......... ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Don't need any more "warmth" here, expected to be 77 tomorrow.  That's about perfect for me for both riding and working in the garage.

Well, got my K4 out yesterday for the first time this riding season. Temp was about 55, but I did not feel it. So nice to get back out. I have been on the Wing, but something about riding the 750's has me hooked...I think you understand :)

Hall - the KO and K1 of course sound the best with the 300's as you know. The K1 clutch is not as stiff as the KO. The K1 throttle takes less effort than the KO. The KO & K1 are lightning fast compared to the K3 & K4. Not much difference that I can tell between the K3 & K4. When you ride or sit at a stop light you can tell those who know what they are looking at. The tend to stare ... and it is not because of my good looks :)

Very True John, sadly the later 750's had a lot of the original pep engineered out of them. I'm surprised that the throttle effort is less on your K1 than your K0 though, have you got heavier springs on your K0 carbs? It's usually the other way around, in my experience. Cheers, Terry. ;D

Thought I'd make one last post to this thread. I heard this morning that the last of the ice melted on Lake Superior four days ago (June 7) and the current, average water temp is 37F.  :-\
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.
