What a bunch of whuses....I just got back from a ride...26 degrees :) Course it was the Wing and I needed to get some Stable in there. Did get in 20 miles though. Getting 1-2 inches of snow tonight.

I'm a whuse.... I also have no upper fairings, lower fairings, etc. Just me and the cold wind, and I hate cold wind....

I hear ya' dog...I could have used some heated grips like my bud with the BMW has when we ride. I ended up shoveling snow this morning. I do get the Wing out during the winter when I need my "fix". But the roads have to be snow and ice free of course. Last year was terrible and did not get out much. Now hall...he is a real winger and  needs his fix too. :)

Come on guys stop being so girly. Who needs a fairing and heated grips. We didn't have them back in the 70's did we ::) I enjoy the pain of my hands being so cold and froze I can hardly pull in the clutch lever or unstrap my helmet to take it off ;D

You're my hero..... when I had less years on my belt, I rode in colder weather, now I stay cold for hours afterwards, not worth it for me, anyway.

Just loaded up wood in the garage, should be good for a few weeks.

I know that feeling well.  It was 20 in Seattle this week (Woodinville to be more exact) and I got to that stage where the pain in your fingers stops. Leaving you worried about frostbite.
Coldest November I can remember in Seattle

It's kind of fun in a perverse way.  The BMW has a little thermometer on it and when the thermometer gets below 38, it begins to flash, warning you of freezing conditions (I guess).  So my 40 mile commute was interesting to say the least.  Starts out at 39, as I ride through a heavily wooded area it drops to 36 and flashes, then I descend into a valley and it dips to 32, climb up onto the Interstate and it rises to 34.  It was like my own little temperature GPS unit.  When it hit 20 it stopped being fascinating and just started to piss me off.

I remember one particularly chilly ride where I had to snap the cruise control on the throttle to keep it open. My hands were so cold I couldn't hold the grip tight enough to keep it from spinning back down.
It was a long night.

It's a funny old world.
42 here at the moment, thats Celsius.  ;)
I think that equates to about 108 Fahrenheit.

Cheers,

its been 40cel here today!like hot,if you run through the long dry grass itll catch fire!thats why I only run Castrol rx super 15/40 diesel engine oil in my bike, its the only oil that will perform at such sustained extremes of temperature and still maintain its cohesion and adhesional properties for mile after mile reliably yet still retain its cold starting low drag properties allowing your battery to last longer even during the most severe winter extremes, rely on Castrol for all your lubrication needs.

oops,did I just post that?

Dave maybe you can get side job working on a infomercial station,-------- I'm sold.
You forgot, wait....that's not all!

He's 150 miles east in Syracuse. Kalamazoo made the news down here, saw the trucks overturned in the snow.

Looking forward to being back in the 70's here this weekend. Brrrrrrrrrrr.......
