Snow started falling about 1:00 and in no time roads were covered in white. Just got home from work. What a $#%&*^% mess. Not many wrecks only a few minor bump ups. But cars everywhere, I think everybody around in my area must of shut down their work place the same time. A drive that only takes about 20 mins took almost a hour and a half. Had to make some detours because of all the traffic. I had no trouble in my 4wd chev but still a mess out there and its going to get much worse because its suppose to do this all night.

Why would your wife drive off the road in this kind of weather, doesn't she know how much of an inconvenience it is for you to come fetch her?

haha, apparently not.  Luckily it was outside our road, but she managed to run over a drainage ditch and hit a pole. . .waiting on the tow truck now who said 4 hours.  Probably won't make it if it takes that long.  I think its changing to sleet right now.

Snow days loose a little of their magic when you work from an office in your house. :-\

Don't think so NC. Mr Honda didn't design it to be much of a snow and ice machine.

Right now nothing is falling but they say still more to come. How is it in your area.

There has been even more than that here.  The thing is we don't/can't plan for it like other states where this is a more common occurrence so no funding is really designated to DOT.  Back to people freaking out, there was a car here that burst into flames along one of the primary roads leading to the highway which, needless to say, caused a lot of traffic :P

What the hell is wrong with people in North Carolina?  A little snow and they start lighting their cars on fire to stay warm.  About 30 and sunny here maybe even 35 this week.....have fun down there. ;D

Looks like we have 8-10", hard to tell, the wind keeps building it up.

Made it to work, roads are easy without other drivers, but looks like they gave up on our parking lot - after hour of plowing it looks pretty much the same :)

I see pictures on line about the people having problems in the snow and think they sure are in tune with their environment.

Snow is beautiful, albeit a pain in the butt.  It started here at 9 last night and is still going full force with monstrous size flakes being blown sidewards.  Only the second storm this week :P,  my son just got back from work and said accumulation is bordering on the 8 to 10 range already.  I am supposed to start work noon, maybe I'll go maybe I won't...Larry

Its already melting like crazy here.  Looks more like rain if you are under any trees or awnings because its so warm.

It has switched over to rain here,  now if it gets super-cold tonight and the mix freezes on the power lines we'll have another massive power outage.  A couple days ago there were crews from Canada repairing the downed lines,  eh? ...Larry

If you look closely you will see there is some snow in the driveway. ;D

Fwiw, it's still snowing sideways over here.
