It's about 4500' here, Steve. The swings will be much less over the next couple of months or so, but only on the low side. ;)

Well it's finally gotten cold here in Melbourne, on Monday morning at 9am it was 38 deg F! Fark! Bring on summer! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

We are having a storm every day with humidity 100% every night.  That is getting really old.

Its because I planned a trip to the beach for 4 days.  The weather was completely fine until I reserved my campground and ferry, then all of a sudden God bestowed on us the gift of miserable weather to spite me. :(

Of course that's the reason, thanks for coming forward  ;D

Goin to Ocracoke?
Before we had kids my wife and I used to vaca there in May. It is really nice and  the locals aren't worn out from the tourists. 8)

We have been having the afternoon evening storm thing too.

Back to Lake Superior, I saw on the news they are having issues with icebergs though. :o

On Sunday saw a ton on Harley riders coming home from Reno Street Vibration. Had very wet cold ride and maybe snow coming over the Sierras.
A lot didn't look like they were prepared.

thanks, Mark

It was indeed snowing over the passes here this past weekend. Still snow on the mountains today.

Where are the passes? If it means anything I've seen a long range for Ontario that says this fall and winter will be the same as the last one.

Oh no! Please don't say that.  :( I'm hoping NOAA's prediction is more like it. They are forecasting above average temps and below average precipitation for the Great Lakes and upper mid-west. Not sure if their predictions stop at the U.S. - Canadian border though.  :)

Bob I was going by the weather networks forecast, I didn't go on to the environment Canada's website and sometimes there are differences between the two, I'll check.

Well, I've never done a comparison of their predictions to what actually happened, so I prep the snow blower just in case.  :-\

And of course, as your weather turns to crap, ours on the other side of the pond is just picking up. It's just gone 7pm as I type this and it's still broad daylight outside, in the mid 70's I'd guess, and very much beer drinking weather. If it wasn't Monday tomorrow, I'd be even happier......... ;D

In town this morning for the first weekend of our 2 week town festival. Still sandals, shorts and short sleeved shirt weather. Tried to score a freebie scoop at the table reserved for the bands and got chased off by a fat bastaad wearing a beret.
