Rear turnsignal brackets on a 400F - How are they shaped?
« on: January 08, 2014, 08:50:43 AM »
Trying to rehab my rear turnsignal brackets and they are all cattywhompus at the moment. I can't imagine how they got this bent up unless somebody was using them to move the bike around like a set of wheelbarrow handles.

So the question is, what are they *supposed* to look like? Anybody got an unmolested example laying around they wouldn't mind photographing for me before I go whaling on these with a BFH?

TIA,

N.

here are my semi unmolested signal brackets. Not sure if the slight curve in the plate is suppose to be there but the rest looks like it should just be squared up. I am going to powder coat these and offer them for sale.

I found a photo on the CMSNL site that showed them looking pretty flat. And is that a t-bushing poking through? If you can get them flat and straight and powdered, I'm interested. What would you want for them?

I was able to straighten the curve out. All I need to do is strip, media blast, and coat them in whatever gloss level black you want. They have a rubber bushing behind them with a steel sleeve that goes through them so they float on the cushion.
