Front fender differences CB750
« on: January 06, 2014, 07:16:34 AM »
Working on a 74 CB750K in kind of a restomod incarnation.   Anyway, I want to run a stock type fender BUT, I want one without the front fender stays.
fender will be painted - 2 colors with a pinstripe and the front stays would get in the way of the paint job.

Does anyone know if a later year fender (perhaps off a 77 etc) would fit forks off my 74 ?     Perhaps I could use the existing fork bridge from my current fender with a fender from the later years ?

Anyone know the years of fenders I should look for ?
Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.

I believe you want to look for one from a 550f, 77-78 550k, maybe 77-78 750k
If it works good, it looks good...

You can also trim/cut back the stock fender past the holes for the supports. Old school cheapie way.
