New member of the family
« on: September 05, 2006, 08:58:33 AM »
Just picked up a barn fresh `75 CB550F yesterday. The owner died in 1987 and it`s been sitting since then with the carbs and tank undrained,  engine is locked up solid and rust everywhere.........isn`t she beautiful ?! ::)
I`ve been looking for a new winter project and here it is, couldn`t stand the thought of someone else getting her and breaking her down into little pieces to peddle off to the highest bidder, so I drove up yesterday to save her from that fate.
Hehe, should have seen the wife`s expression when we got there to pick it up...(you paid how much for this???!!!) :o.She just doesn`t see the potential yet   ;D
10,237 documented miles on her.
So here are the before pics..........

Congrats, I looked at it and thought "Damn, another one to far away"  If you need a place to store the windscreen, I will look after it for free on my 550 next summer ;)

That was the one on E-bay the other day right?  If not, damn nice project.  Why are they all so far away? :'(
