exhaust Suppliers, opinion please?
« on: March 19, 2014, 07:44:12 PM »
As some of you may have read, I am after a set of 4 into 1 pipes for my CB550F.
Think I have narrowed it down to 3 supplers.
Just want an honest opinion on their products and service. So if you have replaced your pipes for any of your bikes with any of these guys, please tell me the good or the bad. Like to have an idea what I may get before I send the cash
Tranzac in Queensland Australia
David Silver in the UK
4 into 1 USA
Again , thanks for you help.

David Silver and 4into1 are both good suppliers, not sure about your queensland one. Have you considered used but nice with shipping from one of us on the forum? Shipping would be nearly the same with the outrageous shipping costs you non US guys face

Boy I sure love the sound of that MotowerksGP stainless 4-1 pipe on the 550.  Wish I had the bucks to get one.  I don't know if it fits the F or not though!

I bought a set of HM323s from David Silvers a few years back. They arrived promptly and, for the most part, were beautiful pipes; however, there was a large dent in the #4 muffler. I contacted DSS via e-mail and received an immediate reply asking about the shipping box, which appeared to me to be in good condition. That was their only question and I actually received my replacement pipe before I sent the bad one back.

I've purchased quite a few items from DSS and have always had nothing but first class service from them. You couldn't go wrong buying from them as they stand behind their products.

Still working on the build, so I couldn't tell you how they'll stand up to real world use. Check my build link or the exhaust section of Tips & Tricks to get more views of them. They're Honda made, so I'm hoping they'll stand the test of time!

Unfortunately they're no longer available... I must have gotten one of the last sets. Still highly recommend DSS for parts.

After much study on price, reviews, recommendations etc, etc, looks like I will go with the Motads, seem also to have the best stock look and also supposes to be not too loud.
Best price I got so far is from 4into 1 for $525 Aus delivered, which is not too bad. Still waiting on an email or two for a few more prices.
Will let you all know how it all goes
Thanks
