Adjustable cam sprocket

From pictures I could find it seems to be obvious, but does the sprocket really hold in place by means of only two bolts in those longish slots?

Yes....just clean the bolt threads and threaded holes well with brake cleaner and Loctite the bolts.

Yes it does. But...

If you're part of the inner circle, you'll be introduced to the Yamaha bolts that have a broad flange under the hex. This gives quite a bit more purchase to the bolt, reducing the anxiety.

Is it slightly domed so it compresses for better holding?

I''ve already installed mine. Take a look at an FJ1200 fish. They are beefy though.

It's strange my cam sprocket has not moved.  Cleaned with Loctite Super clean, last time acetone on a cotton swab, then Loctite blue and correct torque.
I think my sprocket is a slotted (by local tuner back in the days) CB750 of later model that is much lighter. Full of holes. APE I got is really heavy!

I'll replace it with another Falicon slotted sprocket almost as light as my old next time I take out the engine replacing all studs.
