Hi Keith, we are a Honda 750/4 club based in Brisbane. If you're not a member drop me a line & I'll give you the details. We organise rides etc. The next one is to Murphys Creek on 30th August.  Cheers, Paul

I'm Baaaack!
(Was Brookesy but no access to that account)

Not in Bris though - but i get down there a bit

Not much progress on the 750's but that's all about to change

My current ride is a CB1300s and i love it

Recently started work on my CB750 "special"
So far working on stretching the tank 2 1/2 inches and fitting Tarozzi fuel cap etc.
The frame is now a couple of kilos lighter and braced (still some more bracing to go)

BTW does anyone know a good supplier for Pingel fuel taps in Oz?

Things to do include
Tarozzi Rearsets and Clipons
Finish strecthing the tank (huge job to do properly but i think i've figured it all out)
T-rex seat unit

I know Mick....

Brissy is as far south of the equator as we here in South Texas are north.

Your December thru March has a remarkable resemblance to our June- August.

In other words...Hell with the flames missing.

Hope you enjoy your stay KG. My bike is in bits but i am sure someone will accommodate you. If you find someone, get them to take you for a ride up Mount Tamborine, {its just south of you} great view from the top and usually plenty of hang gliders to check out as well as a great twisty ride..

Cheers...Mick

Thanks for the offer mate but its no where being finished. I have 2 and a half bikes that i am making one out of mate and i have to have the engine rebuilt, waiting on Mike Riecks billet block. I am building a 1000cc monster using Big Jays 1000cc forged pistons, i don't expect to have her finished for probably 6 months, there's still lots of mods to be done, this one will be a beauty. Once again, thanks for the offer.. ;)

Ran the bike out to Archerfield this afternoon.

I'm kinda looking for a project while here.

Maybe a 350 or 450 twin to cafe.

Anyone have any ideas?

Hi KG, they are a little thin on the ground around here but i know a few guys so i willput the "feelers" out and see if i can come up with something for you..Send Dave 500 a private message, he is on the Gold Coast {just south of you} and has a 500/4 and would probably go for a ride and show you around a bit....

The little Lady has a brother down on the Gold Coast...I've ridden down there a couple times.

I'll try and get down there and catch up with Dave.

Dave 500 just informed me there is a classic bike show on at mudgeeraba near the Gold Coast on the 7th and 8th of August, he's trying to get a couple of the Queensland members together for a meet....interested? I'll paste the PM Dave sent me...

Quote
gday mick, just thought youd like to know im reading just bikes magazine, and have seen the motorcycle enthusiasts club is having a two day rally here at mudgeeraba at 238 mudgeeraba rd(heritage centre),theres a bike display etc on the 7th and 8th of august, its just down the street from me so ill go down for a look,if its the same thing as last year held at the nearby pony club there will be heaps of really old british iron eg vincents and nortons etc as well as 70s jappers.hurry up and get that bike finished!last year i took about 100 photos!

Let me know mate and we'll meet up ...

yeah anyone who can get there im keen to meet anyone,im not sure if its the same thing as i stumbled across last year though,,older bikes im assuming/hoping.http://www.thmcec.com/THMCEC_Pages/Events_THMCEC.htm just had a look at the site and i dont think its what i think it is.if its just a heap of hogs im not really going out of my way as i live real close,i dont want to get people to come along to see normal bikes parked!standing by for input .,im not real good at copy paste.,EDIT ive had a gander at the site and i think its a hog party, err ,,i dont think i could handle the noise,it says its another non club event, still standing by.
