Pilot Jet ID Help Needed - CB750 K4
« on: September 05, 2006, 07:51:05 AM »
Guys, I ordered from Sudco what I thought to be the right jets for my 836. I wanted four of the 42's and four of the 45's. I'd start fat with the 45's and see how it ran and because I live/ride in the mountains (3,000 or so feet), the 42's would be on-hand should I need to drop a size.

Anyway, I ordered and received the Keihin # N424-22 series jets and they won't fit. They look great on paper and their outside (Sudco's on-line parts listing guide = 28mm x 5.5), but they are too large to thread into the carbs. Can one of you give me the correct series, please? I need to get these ordered quickly. The # N724-21 and N424-74C also have the same outside dimensions and come in the 42 and 45 sizes. Which is correct?

Thanks,
Gordon

You need N424/24 not 22's   I went through the same problem.

Stock pilots on my 750 were 28mm long so I assumed to get the N424/22's

For some reason the 24's are 32mm long, but they fit so go fiqure

I put 42's in my bike and it runs alot better.

I've got 4 brand new N424/24's here I'll sell you, I didn't need them

Same experience as benny. I'm running the N424/24's and even though they are 4mm longer I'm having no problems('76 750F carbs).
Give me..a frame to build a bike on, and my imagination will build upon that frame
