tank option for CB550K
« on: January 13, 2014, 05:45:21 AM »
Looking for options of fuel tanks from other models that will fit a '74 CB550.
The tank I have is from an F and I don't like the flappy cap cover look.

The 500 tank is the same as the 74-76 550k. A 650 750 tank might work, but I think it's longer than the 550 tank, so you may need to modify the seat.

I've got a brand new Benjies Whale if you're interested? It's a scosh longer than stock, but uses the same cap as the other models. Never been  installed. Bought it but changed directions on the project.

PM if you're interested.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of it's victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S.
