The spacer looks like the spline line up the oil holes..
What did they do to the nice gold forks ?
Back on post 85 there is a cool cb 350 custom hanging in the air... Got anymore picks of that.?
Would be amazing if that is so!
The forks got dropped by the postal services. I packed and shipped them together, I cut the shapes out of styrofoam blocks. Box was damaged when I got it. The hit the tops and damaged them. Nothing serious, but it stands out since its the top. Don't have any pictures at the moment.
It's all either CB750, CB550 or XS650's in the photos as far as I can see. The one on the table, just frame is the XS, Zundapp tank is a 550, the hardtail a 750 and the others are my 750.
Curious what kind of handlebar risers/clamps you're running on top of those nicely fabricated spacers? It looks like you've got the Cognito triple trees... was it a simple matter of drilling a couple holes in the top triple and bolting the risers on?
I made a set to go with the Renthal bar clamps. The tops of the forks are pretty high, so I had to raise the MX clamps. Cut out of a 2,5 cm alu plate, with a jigsaw and rounding it off with files. Need to come down some.
The triples are custom made, with the original offset. I might get a new top clamp with a step in it though, like superbike clamps have, which these came of off and should have thought of using that in my design before...planning is so important!
It will probably be a pretty nervous bike going from 19" to 17" front and a little shorter forks. With a step the forks will be relatively longer, improving the handling hopefully.
Mounting them was just drilling two holes on a stationary drill. Lubricate well. The hard part is getting the holes lined up straight..
