Here is another slip on set for review.  ;D  I actually prefer the Termi's because they come with everything you need, including remapped ECU.

I really do understand wanting to leave it stock, but thought I would add to your early morning reading.

Even I can't argue with that thought process.   (a first?!)

It's what I do. Now.

Never use to think it out but hey, lot of cabbage.

Lot of time in making that video.

Two things came to mind.

1) I had to take aspirin watching him work on the ground. To old for that shid.

2) Better chock the front wheel. I can see bad things happening.

Rizoma makes the best stuff. Expensive? Yes. $205.00 for one lever.

I've used a lot of there products on my Busa build.

I'm not sure what size that is Steve. Could be a 695 or so. If it sounds right it's cheap.

Yeah, see what it is first.

Yuppers, that's where the 800cc Ducati fit in for me. Seems the 1000 is more popular on the forums but the S2R is perfect for me.

Doesn't have the single sided swing arm. That should narrow it down.

Get a single sided swing arm Ducati.

Looks way better.

Still reading on exhaust. A mid pipe looks nice but from what I have read there is "very little" ECU adjustments on the S2R. Even the A/F doesn't allow for much. Could go with a Power Commander.

http://www.monsterparts.com/pc/D-138B/Exhaust/D-138B.html

Best to leave it alone. Put gas in, push switch, ride like he!!.  :P

I added fluids weight, my weight and bike weight dry then divided by the rated HP. I'm sure there are a hundred variables.

If one (1) HP per 7.7 pounds ain't enough I need a different Ducati.  ;D

Yes!  Looks like we have gotten Stev-o longing for an Italian ride.  Oh yeah, whats wrong with a white Duc? ::)  That black one looked nice but that low of a price seems a bit fishy, probably a good thing it was sold.  When looking at used Ducs make sure to get service records that show all scheduled maintenance was performed at the proper intervals.  The average owner will not have the ability to do the belts and valve adjustments.  Heck, I bought a laptop and all the appropriate plugs so I could work on my bike myself and adjust the ECU.  Makes setting the TPS and service interval light possible on my 2012.

TT, My 848 is crazy fast with 140hp, I could even imagine trying to control a Panigale at 195hp.  One thing to be aware of is hard down shifts on your Ducati.  They have so much torque on hard down shifts the back wheel can lock up at times, thats why I upgraded to s slipper clutch, its awesome.  I also added a quick shifter to mine and its a kick in the pants.  Nothing like full throttle, no clutch, shifts to put a smile on your face.  ;D

It's all new to me but if I'm not mistaken the 800 S2R already has a slipper clutch. It's a wet clutch where the 1000 is dry.

I'm working on the Service records now. Pat Clark did the 600 mile but after that not sure. The next is the 1000 timing belt tension. As discussed here and on the Monster Forum might as well change them and adjust using the 5mm hex key method.

New belts on the shelf but doing a lot of reading. Appears straight forward just make sure everything lines up, swap belts and torque it down.

Motul oil appears very clean in sight glass and was changed @ 960 miles. Has 1480 now. The issue here is it was done in February, 2009.  :D Don't want an oil thread so we will change that out also.

Ordered $100.00 worth of tools to work on her. No Dealer close, no truck, no trailer. It won't be a high mileage bike with the other rides so I'm not even concerned about the 7500 mile Service at this time.

The accessory options are endless huh? Rizoma red bars are way cool. LSL Carbon bars even sweeter.  8) About the only thing I might do are risers but still kicking that. Need to ride it more first.

My Hayabusa was scary fast also but 195 HP would be, well, scary. The S2R is perfect for me. Right size, light weight, Ducati Red, more fun than I can describe. I'm going to enjoy this motorcycle immensely.

Will Steve-O buy one? It's his fault I bought one.

Yes, my 848 comes stock with a wet clutch also but a whet clutch is different from a slipper clutch.  "Slipper clutches eliminate this extra loading on the rear suspension giving riders a more predictable ride and minimize the risk of over-revving the engine during downshifts. Slipper clutches can also prevent a catastrophic rear wheel lockup in case of engine seizure.

This is where I order most of my online Duc parts from, good selection, decent prices.  http://bellissimoto.com/home.html

This is where I order most my OEM (Ducati branded) parts.  In Cali, so close for shipping, no sales tax, and lower prices than anywhere else I could find.
http://www.ducati-motorcycle-parts.com/

You have a beautiful bike there TT, just enjoy it.

Already looking at Belli. Heard nothing bad about them. I book marked A&S. Ordered from Ducati of Omaha but will need some small stuff to button up the rear plate holder.

Waiting on stock parts from Vegas that were sent Saturday so I will see what I need. Pretty sure everything is there including turns and rear pegs and brackets. I'll leave the peg brackets off but wanted them.

Thanks, love the bike and it is basically brand new. I don't abuse anything so even if I sell it down the road for what ever reason it will still be as nice as it can be.

Looks like a tank slapper kit is next. Protect the paint.  ;) Still love the Rizoma bars but they are not drilled for the switch boxes. Don't want to drill the bar, don't want to file off the guides. Another quagmire!  ::)

She will be on the lift for a couple of weeks for inspection and service. Itchin to ride the CB160. It's just so fun.  ;)

The 160 is very cool. 8)  I have never had a problem with Belli and have used them quite a bit.  I have had good success with these guys also, http://motowheels.com/
