Should be a couple I would think.  :-*

Going for the comfort end of it as these sweep back a bit. Bought them for almost half price with shipping so I'll give it a try.

I'm retired. Plenty of time.  ;)

Don't forget the carbon and knee pucks as well as the race boots... Araii should have some helmets that help eek a few more bhp out of your motor by their slippery shape.

HA!   For a stock guy that you've been on your last coupla bikes, I'm a little surprised with the parts you have ordered.

Not really Steve. It's more of a comfort/cosmetic upgrade.

Handle bars are just a little more swept back however I'm waiting on a Corbin seat before I make a final decision.

The levers have to go as there is little to no adjustment on the S2R model. Clutch lever is not to my liking. These are folding with 3 inches of "on the fly" adjustments.

The stock mirrors have a good range of view but even Ducati could of designed a better looking set. Rizoma mirrors are just the best having owned some in the past. Will definitely clean up the front end.

Cool.

Ugly.

Other than that it will stay the same. Still waiting on stock rear turns so I can get the back of the bike finished.

I have been super busy as of late. New R8 duct work in the house. Boy, the other stuff was bad. Next week it's 18 inches of r50 insulation. Get to clean the house once again.  ::)

I am still waiting on a new battery and the Rizoma mirror adapters. 3 weeks now. Typical of a new product release from Rizoma. Also have a KN filter waiting in the wings.

I have been fitting in some shop time. First order of business were the timing belts. Pretty straight forward if you mark the old belts, transfer marks to the new and line everything up.

First you need the proper tools. I have about a $150.00 just in Ducati shop tools but you can't do anything without them. I lined up TDC on the horizontal cylinder.

Then I checked the pulleys. All marks lined up. (front pulley hard to see in pic)

Lower pulley.

Then vertical cylinder.

After the marks were put on the belts I transferred to the new belts. The top vertical pulley has spring tension so it took a couple of tries to line the mark on the belt and pulley with the timing mark on the case.

The front pulley on the horizontal cylinder spins freely and will move when you loosen the tensioner.

Once the belts are installed adjust both tensioners. I used the 5 mm allen wrench method keeping it on the snug side. 6 mm allen would not slide through without excessive force. Rotated motor until the vertical cylinder was at TDC and set the tension.

The old belts were not bad but the vertical belt seemed on the loose side to me. This tension is checked at the 1000 mile mark but I don't think it was ever done.

I rotated the engine 6 or 7 times then brought the horizontal cylinder back to TDC. All timing marks were in alignment. Hooray!

Then a little bling.  ;)

Next were the Rizoma bars. Quite the job actually. Spent about 4 hours marking and drilling holes, checking cables and adjusting steering stops. The turn radius in somewhat less due to the additional 10 mm pullback and 3 mm in height.

I think I'm going to love these as the forward sitting is more upright. Pretty much everyone who has installed them love them.

And a Corbin to the mix  ;) and you can instantly see the difference. Much better! (for me)

Old..

And new.

So we wait on levers..

And mirrors..

Bar ends.

Current.

R50 insulation...wow.  (R38 is code here)

For a "stock" guy, you sure are going the aftermarket route.  Looks great!  No riding?

Personal preferences. Pretty much done.

No riding, to busy. I have to supervise ya know. Even having the trim painted. Easy to find man power who will work cheap and for cash.  ;) Have to get this done while the weather is cool.

I had a private conversation with the "duct work" guy and he is going to tap off a 10 inch duct running two ducts into the shop. One on each end. Side deal.  ;)  When the AC gets serviced I'll have them "kick it up" a notch on the speed.

Shop does not have to be as cool as the house so this should work just fine. When the really hot temps hit (115/120) I'll just close the vents, stay inside and drink margaritas.  :P

Busy, busy, busy.

Nice work TT, glad the cooler temps are good for working in the shop as when April rolls around you'll be staring at high 90s to 100s again and it is not that far away. Even those in Northern snowy climates are so wishing for spring and summer to arrive...sick of snow and cold.  We actually saw 74F here last week one day. Reminded me of AZ and made me homesick for it.  Winter can be very depressing in gray and snowy climates.  Not that it is too gray and snowy here but it is enough of a change to be whelming.

The last three weeks has been fantastic! Light winds, mid 70 to 80 degrees. Getting House upgraded while cool temps are here.

Should finish up the Ducati by tomorrow then a long ride on Wednesday.  77 degrees in forecast.

Corky picked up the CL90 yesterday and sold to him the same day for a nice profit. Told me it was spotless and he wanted it. 5 franklins in the pocket.  ;) This will offset the upgrades to the House nicely.

Might also have a line on a right muffler for the CB160. Sure hope that happens. Week starting out very good.

Finally received the Rizoma Drift mirrors and ASV adjustable levers. The mirrors are new for 2014 so it takes a bit to get them.

Stock "antenna" mirrors.

And the drift mirrors.

With ASV levers.

What I love about Rizoma mirrors is the fact they are slightly convex and have a "blue" glass. It brightens everything up. Hard to explain but if you have seen any you know what I'm talking about.

Waiting on one more piece. Should be here Tuesday.  ;)

The Volvo 240s from late 70s to early 90s had blued mirror glass in them, they were very good mirrors too.
The bling man purse (Ducati Performance) is obstructing the gauges lower portion unless you are up there crouching forward to see past it...
