Why not? With the end caps off it's a good time to do it. PO said they have gotten a little louder in 3 years. Might as well get them repacked. Not that expensive.

I'll let Greg at Arrow do the work. It would be fun to run up to Henderson but mailing them is cheaper.

For $600 in spotless condition I can always sell them.  ;) I'm now torn between DB killers or not. Greg, from Arrow, suggested I run them first. PO did also. PO said a repack might be in order so I'll get that done at least.

Ordered new exhaust donuts. Recommend a good exhaust sealer?

Bought from the same guy was the 2 piece CF chain guard and under seat trim in CF. $50.00 was a steal.

Yesterday I "got on it" and wow, I was impressed for an 800cc motorcycle. This thing is fast. Just about everybody changes the front sprocket to a 14 for better riding in traffic and a little more get go off the line. I'm kind of liking the stock 15 myself. It's pretty tall when starting but after that all is well.

When it goes back on the lift I think it's time to bleed everything and fresh fluid. (8 years old)

I do love this bike.  :D

I've read that it's a 90 degree v-twin and they have excellent primary balance as far as engine vibration,has that been your experience ?

It's all pretty new to me. I bought a Desmodue Maintenance and Modification Guide written by LT Synder. Invaluable book. I know he spoke very highly of the 800cc motor. It's a different breed of cat that's for sure.

No vibration at all that I can feel. The only "issue" that I have read about is the tall front sprocket of which you have to feather the clutch. Still not use to it.

Just about everyone changes the front to a 14 tooth. About a $35.00 upgrade. If doing a lot of stop and go or in town commuting I can see where this would be beneficial.

Still getting use to the Ducati. Only put 200 miles on it since ownership.

Are we shopping?  ;D

I'm afraid if I could even afford a 4V Monster,that if I were to purchase one I might want to make it my only ride.  :) My other bike would be Jealous  :(
I know they made an ST touring model w/ hardbags,but the riding position for sport bikes(The Duc is first & foremost a SPORTBIKE  ;))isn't as upright and flat footed as I like.The music and the torque the engine makes would probably 'hook' me.

That's a Nice ST for a decent price.Have you ever ridden one,I haven't.
I'm curious how the seating position in relation to the footpeg placement...  I hate to have my lower legs folded.That's a Nice fairing package,looks good for the long haul,Much rather have that than a Goldwing.I imagine much lighter too.
That model ST,do you think it's the 4V ? Silver is easy to live with for me. but my $..  :'(
I'm on SS only... and it's nice to dream   :)

Like I said Ducati's are new to me. Never sat on one. Very clean one in Boise a while back but long gone now.
